Indonesia: Road Safety for Children and Youth in North and East Jakarta

An increasing number of children are affected by traffic accidents in Indonesia. There is a need to improve the road safety environment for children.

Project Content
Develop Information, Education and Communication materials on road safety
Increase children’s knowledge of road safety
Enhance the capacity of teachers and other stakeholders to plan and implement road safety programs
Organize road safety campaigns with local communities

 

Myanmar :Strengthening of health system for safe delivery and healthy newborn

Maternal and under-five mortality rate in Myanmar is very high compared to other countries in Southeast Asia and approximately 90% of these maternal and under-five deaths occur in rural areas. In order to improve health and well-being of mothers and children in rural areas in Myanmar, maternal and newborn health project is launched.
When June 2016 to August 2017
 
Where Oaktwin Township, Bago region,
and Myitkyina Township, Tanai Township, Mogaung Township and Puta-O Township, Kachin state
 
Target Pregnant and post-partum Mothers and
Newborn Babies (up to 28 days)
 
Objective To increase the utilization of maternal and newborn health services and to strengthen community-based health system for safe delivery and healthy newborns.
 
Project Content Training and support of midwives and auxiliary midwives to improve maternal and child health services
